Tales from the Control Room Floor

Tales from the Control Room Floor

Escape the Cubicle

Tales from the Control Room Floor: Also known as Codename “Mondays” among the cluemasters, Escape the Cubicle seemed like it was going to be a real winner. I mean, the choice seems so obvious, a room for the everyday working person. Who hasn’t been sitting at their job wishing they could just escape to some beach in Morocco. We even had puzzles like solve the paper jam and Microsoft Excel (I never said we weren’t monsters). We did tread into dangerous territory when we created an evil boss character that looked suspiciously like one of our managers, however, the real downfall was the moment someone just climbed over the top of the barrier in the first minute and won. It turns out cubicles aren’t designed like prisons even though they feel that way.

Escape the Family Reunion

Let me paint you a picture: it’s a crisp, June day in the park. You didn’t want to come today. You have more important things you could be doing, like reading that new book on the shelf or literally anything else, but no.You know you wouldn’t have heard the end of it at Thanksgiving. So here you are, stuck wearing a custom made t-shirt with 20 other people you have nothing in common with except a weird genetic birthmark on your shoulder and Great Aunt Becky is clinging on to your cheek with the force of a military grade bear trap. And, uh oh, Cousin Tina has shown up with Clyde, who you know will threaten divorce within 10 minutes of being there. And to top it all off, you can’t tell whether or not your Great Grandad Richie is just sleeping or sleeping.

Yeah, I don’t know why this one didn’t make the cut. Apparently it was “too personal” or something like that.

Escape the Pit

This one is pretty self explanatory.

Escape the Human Body

Alright, we’ve all been there. One minute you’re minding your own business, the next you’re being swallowed by some kind giant superhuman from another dimension. We were just the geniuses to think it could make a great escape room. I mean, you’ve got different rooms for the stomach and the intestines, puzzles involving blood types and literal locked bowels. However, we felt that the smell and stomach acid that filled the room would not be fun to deal with for a full hour. And thus, this bathroom joke gone too far was finally flushed for good.
